I am at a stage in the hobby that I started to develop a very true fascination with pocket watches. For people who love and collect pocket watches please share your collections with us :)

Beautiful watches. That Waltham movement is pretty awesome wow :)
I’ve since gotten a new crystal but it definitely needs a good servicing still the case back cover reads “To Daddy 12/25/17” it’s definitely not 2017 lol

Very nice, also the color of the case is awesome.

It’s not a full on gold pocket watch but its gold filled. From what I understand, it’s the 19th century equivalent to gold plating which I think is the reason for that almost rose gold-like patina

It's beautiful 😍
Just started my own collection, with a couple of Smiths pocket watches. I was amazed at the bang for buck you can get in the PW market.
My great grand parents gifted this pocket watch to my grandfather for his 21st birthday. It’s a treasured piece my dad and I enjoy sharing. Every time we handle it, it sparks a new story he’ll share with me about his dad who I never got to meet. This is probably my favorite part of this hobby, all the stories we attach to the watches.
Wow!

Thanks for sharing this great story, fabulous watch to treasure and pass on for future generations.
I own a Charles-Hubert Paris Traditional (XWA5560) with an open face white dial and T100 tritium for late nights. The piece has a quartz movement which won't curry favor with many but serves me as it is.
Both belonging to my great grandfather at one point. The Elgin is quite clean but not running. So, of course, I bought another 301 movement on eBay to practice servicing. And possibly for spare parts, if needed.
Love them, but in today’s world how do you carry them ? and don’t say in your pocket.
Circa 1912...... runs perfectly.
Does it keep good time buddy? Have been considering getting one and hanging it on a table stand as my desk clock
Does my Minerva stopwatch count 😂
Definitely :) pretty awesome

It does mate :) and if it's not it should be easy to service :)

I have seen many conversion ways some are easy and some require some skill here are the easy ones

3 x Elgin ranging from the year 1917 to 1943
I’ve been collecting pocket watches for 40 years this case holds 40 and I have 8 cases full. The funny thing is I seem to have moved on to wrist watches. Lol

😁 Impressive collection. Which one is your utmost favorite ? :)
I have a hunter cased watch from 1866 that’s my favorite. It’s key wind and key set with a 5 oz coin silver case. My mother in law gave it to me for Christmas one year, I restored it and surprised her. It had belonged to her Great Great Grandfather.
