Does anyone have any experience with Zuludiver’s Octopod?

I’m looking into purchasing the V3 Octopod Nato system but nobody I know has one. Worth it? I’m a Nato guy any season so this seems perfect for diving. Anyone have one? Advice? Thanks!

I have the previous version which is a little bit bigger,I like the idea of NATOs but hate the look ,I’m more a marine nationale fan. I like the deployant type clasp and the elastic strap is more comfortable than a standard material I found . The initial setup is a little bit of a fiddle but it’s simple .

Nice, I own a handful of MN but don’t like the clasp system so I think this is an alternative to that. Do you have problems with your clasp? I saw on YouTube it can be a pain. Thanks! Also your username made me chuckle lol

Apart from initial set up I’ve had no issues .But I definitely prefer the elastic straps from a comfort perspective because if the strap starts to feel tight or loose it’s a faff to readjust if it’s non stretchy. Thanks for the username appreciation 🤝

The MK2 Octopod is great, the MK3 further improved the finish.

They are very comfortable and easy to wear, best with the more elastic materials as Slowmaster said.

Watch the video for initial set up and you'll have it on your wrist in no time.

The initial cost of the clasp is high, although they very often give out discounts if you register and look at them a few times...

Once you have the clasp, extra straps are cheap and good quality.

Gave mine to @solidyetti. I never used it. He might be able to weigh in.

It seemed cool, though. Well built.

And I thank you good sir!

To @wardaddy, bit fiddly to get set up, so I find myself changing out the straps mess than expected, but to get a more adjustable fit without resorting to elastic or ZuluAlpha, it does a REALLY good job.

Also after looking at my cheap CNS NATO'S, converted to single pass, I said eh, let's try something...

Long story short, used a seam ripper to turn the cut down NATO into just a single strip of strap, and it too fits through the Octopod.

Some might be put off by the pin/sizing holes leftover from the NATO, but it works.

Pics later.

That’s solid and the idea with the NATO you have there is solid. I cannot wait to see those pictures man!

Once I'm home I'll throw some up real quick.

I responded with some info in another thread w/pics. Hope it helps. Overall I think they're OK, but I find a straight velcro strap more comfortable, though not as "cool".

I have too many straps. But yeah I liked it, it’s a well built system, sturdy and secure plus with a deployant clasp less risk of dropping your watch. It takes a bit getting setup whenever you change straps and I guess that’s the biggest drawback. I change straps often so quick release is the way to go for me.
