SOTC - Which rectangular watch to add?

Hey Crunchers, my current collection consists of three watches ranging from casual to dressy: Brew Metric, Seiko Dress KX and Junghans Max Bill. I'm considering adding a tank style watch without buying a Cartier 😉What would be your recommendation?

vintage seiko would be good, you can try to search seiko dolce or seiko spirit tank

Thank you! Really like them, especially the Dolce

The Longines Dolce Vita is about the same size as a Tank Must small at 1/3rd of the price. Casio also makes a Tank of the size of the Large for $80.

Or you can buy a cheap Sanda for $8 on AliExpress to test run the design before committing to a bigger purchase. For the price of a pint you're not taking much risk. 😂

Nice, the Sanda seems like a fun test drive 😄

Longines for sure!

casio ltp-v007d-7b super clean tank style watch

I like the Vario Versa quite a bit. It's a reversible dual time. In the meantime, I too have been test driving a Sanda!

That max bill is definitely in my future. How you liking yours?

·

Look at the Tissot Porto, it's a really underrated tissot. I bought one for my gf for Christmas, but there are bigger sizes suitable for men. It's more of a Tourneau case, but it's still rectanglar.

If you are okay with pre-owned, go neovintage and pick up one of the many tanks from the 90s offered by Cartier (much cheaper than modern), Credor, Seiko, Oris, Ulysses Nardin, B&M, etc.

Love it, I went for the Quartz version which is very thin, comfortable and doesn't break the bank

I was looking at the quartz as well for an office dress piece.

Thank you! 😊

Fears 1930 archival if you can get one. I also love the look of the Alpina Heritage Carée but it’s a bit larger

·

If you don't mind me asking, what bracelet do you have on your SRPE? Uncle Seiko?

And for the square watch, you need one of these in your life 😁

Yes, it's the Uncle bracelet. It fits and feels very well.
