I usually wear whatever watch I'm already wearing that day to the gym, so it's usually a dive watch. I will grab my g-shock if I'm going to mtn bike or hike
I use a Garmin Vivosmart 5 when I workout. I can double wrist it with a good watch on the other hand (that I don't wear when I workout). I also have a Forerunner 965 but tend not to wear it unless cycling.
It used to be an Apple Watch, then I switched to a G-Shock (without HR monitor). Recently I got more into running and bought a Garmin Forerunner for all my sports activities.
The heart rate monitors on G-Shocks aren‘t very accurate, but I guess it depends also on your requirements. Any wrist-based HR monitor is generally less accurate than an ECG type chest strap, but Garmins and Apple Watches aren’t far off in terms of accuracy.
Working on a project called "Treasure Owl", which is all about making it easier for watch enthusiasts like us to sell and purchase watches easily from around the world. I also like photography!

I wear the exact watch you have pictured...
During most workouts I'm bare-wristed. I will sometimes wear my G-Shock if I want to time something.
A few times per week I go running with a group. I just ask them how far we went. They're all wearing Garmins.
They all tell me I'm supposed to be on Strava. But I simply don't give a shit.
Life is good.
Workout? 😆
Sports? Generally whatever I'm wearing, changing channels doesn't get too strenuous 😉👍🏼

My TV service does split screen so I don't have to 'exercise' my thumb going back & forth to the different games. So exhausting! 😜
Can that G shock get a full charge on solar or does it need to be plugged in ?

A Gshock square or my analog Seiko solar quartz. 💪
