I bought a new one recently in fact, with much more rotor adjustment, and holding 4 watches rather than previous 2.
I don’t buy the “wear and tear” argument. Putting a watch on slow rotation periodically is far less stressful than the average round of golf, or vigorous clapping at the Opera House. Chopping wood…
Three main reasons I use mine:
Watch with shitty crown making it hard to wind, and with both day and date.
Watch with traveller GMT, with no quickset date.
Watch worn infrequently, to keep it moving occasionally.
But the main premise is that it might be a week or more between wearing.
