Q: How did you get into watch collecting?

Stumbled across a Fossil open heart automatic and thought the besting movement was the most complex machine ever. This activsted my quest for the perfect mechanical timepiece.

Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?

I have saved enough lunch money to buy a fake tag Heuer when I was a kid. The case and metal bracelet melted on my wrist and thought it was totally normal.

Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?

I found my late father's vintage Breitling mechanical in a drawer after being submerged in mud and water for 3 weeks then left inside a drawer in that dismal state for 5 years. When I found a way to restore it, I figured I had a good chance of running a competitive on-demand watch repair and restoration business.

Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?

Don't get too pumped in buying the watch hype and hoarding it all. You only have one wrist. The best watches in your collection are the ones that spend the most time on your wrist, so ditch everything else and go for quality and "spark joy" than quantity.

Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?

Unimatic, Sinn, Zenith, Universal Geneve and Vacheron Constantin

Q: What is your grail watch and why?

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph Reverse Panda Holy Trinity, Gerald Genta design, colorway reminds me of my treasured cats.
