Ophion Gilt Spectre
In recent times I have found it difficult to get excited with the vast majority of watch releases. The Black Bay monochrome somehow got the heartbeat rising rapidly when it could be said it was the safest, most unimaginative & predictable creation anyone could think of.
This Ophion Gilt Spectre however, it really speaks to me. I know it's not a new release but this model is one that I have only just discovered. It's as though someone tapped into my brain & then created the most perfect watch for my taste.
The colours are my favourites & it's simple, understated design & look are exactly what I look for in a watch. Now the quest to try to get my hands on one begins!

Congrats on your purchase, you have a beauitiful & unique watch on the way to you. I have just found one & although the price is a good bit over it's original retail price, it's one that I'm willing to pay to get it. Fingers crossed.

It's awesome I had one briefly but it was damaged so I couldn't justify keeping it. The case is really expensive to rework. But visually it is absolutely stunning.

It's money too....£3250 in the UK if you can get hold of one. That price would also make me hesitate when you look at what else you can get in that band.

When the watch was launched it was selling for £2,250 which I think is pretty incredible. Now you have to pay premium to get it.
In the last few years I've indulged myself in watches in the £2,000 - £5,000 price range. I own/owned a number of the classic watches in this range. I have enjoyed them all, still do with many of them. I'm at the stage where I'm looking for something unusual, out of the mainstream. I can see why others would want many other watches before this one, that's exactly what I have done.

Yep I agree at the original list price proper value! I've never seen this watch before your post and it's growing on me more and more. I can see why you want one!
Also that rare thing of a watch as an actual investment!
That’s really nice - like a Breguet 5157 crossed with a Vacheron Fifty Six.
This is an absolutely brilliant watch. I have the Velos Blue version now and it's one of the best watch decisions I've every made. I have smaller wrists and love the arty lugs so it may not be for everyone but to me it's just perfect.

I do love the both of the blue & salmon dial watches that they have in their range. If I can't get my hands on the Gilt Spectre I'm going to get one of the others. Is it the Guilloche or Sunburst blue that you have?

I’ve seen the gilt version on Chrono24 lately but it is a little pricier since it’s limited. Mine has a Guilloche pattern yes. Looks great!
