For high school graduation, my parents bought me a Seiko kinetic for $350 at a mall. That watch (technically my third, but I don't even remember what the first one was) is now 21 years old and for about 15 of those, it was my only watch, daily wear. Best watch ever, best movement ever (for most of that time I didn't even realize it was quartz). If it ever stopped, I felt like my pet fell ill. One day I fell in love with a dial of another watch, and since then I feel like I'm cheating on a faithful wife.
