Hey everyone, it's been a while since we first started exploring the idea of creating a Dirty Dozen-inspired field watch. Over the past two years, we've been working on a design that pays tribute to the iconic collection of twelve field watches made by twelve different Swiss watchmakers during the final years of World War II, issued to British servicemen. These watches represent a unique intersection of horology and military history, holding a significant place in both watchmaking and war memorabilia.
One of the challenges we encountered was developing an automatic watch under $250 that stays true to the original design, featuring a sub-dial at 6 o'clock and a crown at 3 o'clock, just like the 1945 models. After much searching, we finally found the right movement to meet these specifications. To give it a modern touch, we've added our own Revelot design elements, including angular facets and 3D lumed block numerals.
