I'm a budget watch guy, small time tree farmer, part-time homesteader, volunteer firefighter, shadetree mechanic, but full-time IT Engineering manager. 41mm and smaller field watches with 50m minimum WR is my comfort zone. I love the Indigo & Illuminator features of timex & casio, but any readable lume good for 8 hours is acceptable for the right tradeoffs. Quartz is good, but auto-winding has its benefits, but solar is a nice feature too.
I've got my eye on the Lorus sport man Chronograph for under $100 as it appears to tick all my boxes. However, I can't seem to find any reviews for it.
Anyone here have experience with these? Please share. If negative, kindly suggestions of a better value dark case/face, easy to read, well illuminated, 50m+ WR for about $100.

I don't have that model, but have several Lorus watches. Can't say there's any complaints apart from one where the hands move very easily when setting the time, but that's a once in a blue moon hassle. It's also a Seiko sub brand. You get good quality stainless steel watches for very little!
