New watch
I’ve just added a new watch to the collection, the Lorier Hydra III. My third Lotier watch, and another stunner. I’m a sucker for a GMT, and I love Lorier’s design language, so this is an absolute winner! I’ve been staring at it on wrist for the past couple of hours, so thought I needed to share.

This is probably my favorite combo. The thickness isn’t bad either.

Size Specs are so misleading, it fits a lot smaller than what is stated, it feels more like a 37/38mm on wrist.
I also do not feel likes it’s 14mm thick at all.
It’s not top heavy and the movement should be regulated because it’s been bang on within a couple seconds a day after wearing for 2+ weeks for me.
Bracelet is great too, more comfy than some with micro adjust clasps because clasp isn’t bulky nor too long.
Low light is very good, you can see the beautiful lume even under very small amount of shade on the GMT markers.

The coin edge bezel is thicker on the Hydra III, but it’s well hidden and the whole depth of the watch is on the whole cleverly disguised with the domed crystal and watch profile. The weight feels great too. I like to be able to feel a bit of heft from a watch.

The brushing although not amazing in my opinion but there is a degree of satin shine to it that is also balanced with the slightly shiny upper edges of the case. The shiny coin edge bezel is also amazing from the side angle 📐

Agreed. I actually think there is a noticeable improvement and refinement in the case finishing to their earlier models. I’m a big fan of the brand. For the money they’re not going to compete with the finishing of more prestigious brands, but I wouldn’t expect it either. This watch will definitely be getting plenty of wrist time though.
I just got my brother the Hyperion II as a graduation present (researching that is actually what got me into watches in the first place) and now I’m wanting Lorier for myself! Eyeing this piece as well as the Falcon
The Hyperion is another I like the look of. Definitely loving the Hydra III and recommend the Chrono. Don’t think you can go wrong with a Lorier though, great micro brand.
