NWA: Daiso Mili Watch

No, it's not a Hamilton Khaki Field nor a homage watch from AliExpress.

It's the Saikō no Mili Watch from Daiso!

Snapped it up during the weekend. Been looking for it for years but not too seriously. Just another cheap impulse purchase for the year.

38mm fixed lugs plastic case with lug width of 20mm wow. Even the hands are lumed but kinda weak.

Pros:

  • I finally have an all black nato strap.

  • Perfect covert ops watch for shopping at ¥200 stores instead of desk diving for 200 minutes in one seating with your traditional dive watches.

  • Bang for buck.

  • From a brand with rich heritage and global presence.

  • Don't need to handle the watch with microfibre cloths.

  • Audible ticking sound.

Cons:

  • You probably will outlive this watch.

  • Water resistance is debatable.

  • No Daiso branding on the watch, a real bummer.

Overall, a fun watch to wear.

On a serious note, have a good weekend fellow crunches and wear your watches in good health.

Like the FXD huh.

Words engraved or rather stamped at the caseback, indicating that this is a general purpose watch to be worn on the wrist. Insides a PC21S quartz movement powered by a SR626W battery.

No idea what G212 stands for.
