Another new arrival! I didn’t get on with the Thorn ‘Pelagos’, and sold it on, but decided to give titanium another go with the San Martin version. Out of the box, I’m impressed.

Most of my watches have dark dials, so I thought white might make a nice change. It was only delivered an hour ago, but first impressions are very good.

Thanks. I should say that the Thorn bracelet no tool adjustment system was fantastic. Revolutionary. However, the titanium looked dull and, dare I say it, cheap. Plasticky, even. I thought it might just be titanium, and that I preferred steel. However, this San Martin looks much better. The Thorn felt like a £50 watch, whereas the SM feels like a £200 watch. Whereas they actually both cost about the same. The Thorn also had ‘exploration road’ written across the dial, which made no sense on a dive watch.
I wanna buy one San Martin. Nice watchs for price. But to ship from Aliexpress whith taxes here in Brazil kill The option. Maybe in The Future. Congrats for the piece.

Sorry to hear about the additional taxes in Brazil. In the UK, AliExpress adds 20% VAT at checkout. But if the item is over £135, extra charges for import duty are also added when the item is delivered. So cheap(er) watches can soon become expensive. Anyway, I hope you get to own a San Martin one day.
