WatchCrunch vs Instagram

Will this take over from Instagram? Answers on a post card please with a self addresses envelope and don't forget the stamp. :-)

Definitely no.I think it will be used to advertise the instagram and vice versa.I think that the majority will just dual post both on insta and here.

Completely different platforms. This is much more diverse as far as watch related discussions  are concerned.and more like a watch forum.

I see instagram as totally different with more pictures than actual discussion.

Will it take over IG? Definitely no, but WC serves a different kind of audience. I saw a post the other day welcoming “IG and FB refugees“. I actually enjoy hanging out here for some reasons:  took me forever before I saw a Rolex on the feed; a VC defeated PP, AP and Rolex on a poll; no wrist shaming and poopoo-ing on homages or watches some would harshly call ”shitters”; no investment question; people seem to be modest in sharing, even when they have hard hitters; i see more diversity in watches and the discussions on some threads are cool.

So would it take over IG, again no, I think I doesn’t have to.

I'm aware that these social platform show us what we want to see. They're learning us.

This is platform is no different. I chose tags for my watch likes.

I see the point about this being more about conversation.

There’s a lot to be said for a forum where people get just as jazzed about an Orient or Islander as they do a BB or Daytona.

I hope so

For me this has been a pretty great experience.  I don't  have social media accounts except for this one and I gotta say it is very much an enjoyable place to be. It doesn't  feel as limited or as plain as a forum, but isn't a wide open format. We have found a niche place of the internet to talk about our niche love for watches. When it comes to watch discussion and sharing, this seems to be the best place to be. Let the clout and vanity chasers have ig.
