Hi Stevie. It has the vintage style, but it is a relatively new watch in my collection, it has almost 2 years with me and as far as I know, this particular model (AQ-230) started production in the 2000's, but it's a successor to those first analog-digital watches from the 80s
For the price they are can you really go wrong! Im not really sure I could pull off the gold though. Neville parker wears the silver one in death in paradise so that is maybe more me.

I think silver is more versatile. although there is a version with a black dial that is also good.

That one looks great, I also like the one with the sort of line dial, like graph paper 😬. Great watches at a great price and a style to suit so many occasions. Wouldn't look silly at a wedding or doing the garden if you ask me.

Super clean, classy look. I would love that Casio came to make a new modern reinterpretation of this.
