Who Else Has 6.6" Wrists?

What s the Duro diameter?

I'm 6.5 and find 41mm is max that I'm comfortable with, but it may be different if there's a thinning bezel edge then I might look at 42mm.

The Duro is 44mm, but lug to lug is just shy of 50mm. Otherwise, plenty of 44mm watches that I can't pull off!

I'm at 6.5 inches and the Bulova Lunar Pilot wears comfortably. 53mm lug to lug is probably my limit.

I am 6.8 and most bracelets are either just snug or tad bit lose. I love those with micro adjustments.

It’s not just the size of your wrist, it’s the shape too. Specs only really tell half the story and are a good indicator, but you never know until you get the watch on your wrist. Don’t dismiss a watch purely on specs.

Ah, now that is interesting. This is the first mention of wrist shape that I recall hearing, and now I wonder why it isn't talked about more often!

I have a 6.5 inch wrist 🙌🤝.

I love me some Duro!

I look at lug to lug over case size personally.

The Duro is just 48mm L2L, despite having a large 44” case size haha.

One watch I had my eye on was just 42mm but…

50+mm L2L.

I knew it just was going to be big.

Now…my Invicta 1953 is a 40mm case size.

But, just under 49mm L2L.

Safe to say, staying under 49mm L2L works best IMO.

At the end of the day, buy what you like 🤝😊.

I mainly go by lug to lug too, although the Duro is also on the large size in terms of case size. All personal preference, of course. It's a killer watch either way!

I don't know if @JamesTil6569 was talking about the wrist shape more than the watch shape. James please confirm. I have a 7" wrist which isn't that much bigger that 6.5" - 6.75" and in fact when I'm cutting weight before the summer my wrist may just be under 7". The shape and design of the watch does make a lot of difference - Especially the size, shape of the dial AND bezel/minimal bezel or lack of. Here's a few pictures, the watches with thin / minimal bezels looks and appears larger than the larger spec watches at 41mm - 44mm. All of them are sub 50mm LTL.

So definitely trying it on and seeing it in person makes a huge difference in deciding if the fit works.

@Jamair23 Both the shape of the watch and the shape of the wrist play a big effect. I was referring to the shape of the wrist.

Broadly speaking, I would say:

The size of the watch will determine if it will generally fit on there. (Basic specs, width, height, lug to lug etc)

The shape of your wrist will determine HOW it fits and more importantly, how comfortable that watch is.

For example, my 6.5inch wrist is obviously not perfectly round, no ones is. But my wrist has a span of 55mm, meaning it’s relatively flat on top. This means I can comfortably wear a watch with a larger lug to lug than other people with a 6.5inch wrist who don’t have as much span, as I have a bit more real estate to play with.

The down side is that the bracelet therefore has to articulate further, as a lot of that 6.5inchs is the flat top of my wrist, the bracelet has to curve around more sharply.

On my SMP300, I have two half links in it. This allows a little bit more articulation due to the very long claps and longer lug to lug of the watch, for it to be comfortable. I literally couldn’t wear it without them as it would be too uncomfortable.

So I think the shape of your wrist is just as important as the specs of the watch.
