Got one too, love the watch, but getting very difficult to wind. Just had it serviced, waiting for it to come back. They said winding got a little better after lubricating the crown. We'll see...
Also not that familiar with farer. Just got my first nomos and pretty impressed so far....overall quality and finish, movement, wearability, esthetics, value - all good. If you like their design language (i do) definitely worth checking out. Pretty unique story when you learn their history.
I favor the E9 watches (and have one). The hands and indices are bigger thus more legible and, to me, attractive. The cases are generally thinner and the comfort is better on wrist, the power reserve is on the case back which gives a much cleaner and more attractive (to me) dial. The movements in this series are generally the latest/most advanced versions (spring drive and mechanical). I think the series is a positive step forward for GS. Add a micro adjust bracelet and it would be pretty much perfect.
Just received mine, this is the "Schulhausweiss." Supposed to look like the walls of old classrooms. I like the watch. Color combo is appealing to me, also like the
smaller 38mm case size, thin, light, comfortable to wear, good build quality/finishing, in house movement, Bauhaus style, etc. Straps is so-so.
My first Nomos and I'm pretty impressed,
