Friday with a Professional.

On Fridays I don't have as much classes to teach, so with the extra free time I like to dive into a cafe to work and relax.

Today, I'm bringing this watch with me. Codenamed "tiny tag" I love how sleek yet robust it feels.

I've only began to realize how well 34-36mm watches fit on my stickman wrist, and this watch is a testament to that.

While I've never been a massive Tag Heuer fan (to be honest, I was quite intimidated since a lot of tag fans are also incredible automobile enthusiasts), getting an Aquaracer has always been one of my goals.

A lot about it interests me, not just the design or history. Come to think of it, my uncle might've played a role. He owns like 10 Aquaracers. And don't get me started on his Formula One chronographs.

My admiration might also be heightened by last weekend's rewatch of John Glen's The Living Daylights.

One of my personal favorite 007 films, by the way.

In the end, I see this as a "one step closer" to the Aquaracer. A small predecessor that does all its successor does with a more affordable price tag.

How about you? any future grails living rent-free in your mind?

Fellow stickman here, love how the tiny tag looks on you. I've just recently started getting more comfortable wearing "small" watches with my green Cartier Tank LM, but I also want to try out a smaller, sporty watch. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks!

I suggest looking at seiko divers — SKX models to be precise. They have a 37-38mm version of every colour, like the SKX015 or 025.

If you have a bigger budget, what about the 36mm omega seamaster? 196.1502 if im not mistaken. James Bond's model.

So many options to choose from..! I didn't know Omega used to make a smaller Seamaster. A little out of my budget at the moment but I'd love to try one on.

Citizen promaster 37mm eco-drive is a solid mid-size diver, I've got the navy blue one - ref EO2021-05L

All the more reason to buy a Seiko! 😅

Killer watch!

Had one of these and sold it, was a little too small but loved the watch and it sparked the idea to get the full size version, brought a restore job, now I've fully restored it, it's by far my favourite watch and gets the most wrist time

Me too, which model are you interested in?

Bought the GMT back in 2020, it's 43, and it's about at my max size, but the color really pops and its been a strong favorite for a while. I generally like a lot of smaller watches, but this one feels just right as a meaty diver.

Just picked up a 2000 (38mm) this week to run on a rubber strap. I think I like the bracelet better, you've beat me to the NWA post, so you'll see the whole shebang soon.

Similar design language, but a very different feel for each with the size difference.

7" pretty flat wrist.

That strap works brilliantly with the 2000
