I’ve got the new watch itch, and I’ve been eyeing the Addiesdive vh31 powered watches with these sweet textured dials for some time now. The vh31 movement from Seiko has interested me since I first learned about it. In my little pea watch collector brain IT. JUST. MAKES. SENSE. I’d love to hear all the crunchers thoughts for those who have purchased the model or a different one with the vh31 movement!

That's a killer dial right there! 😁
I think the texture provides more contrast and legibility for the steel-on-white dial colourway that can sometimes be hard to read. It's why I've tended to shy away from white dials.
Never had a watch with this movement. It's mechaquartz, right? The second hand sweeps?
Great watch, the dial is probably my favorite in my collection, and I got it for under $50, accuracy wise, it’s been running great, smooth sweeping seconds look great 👌🏻
It might work for you. In my experience, checking features and specs generally are a poor predictor of whether I like a watch. If I end up with a statement that something "just makes sense" then I'm not emotionally engaged.

Yes! Sweep seconds, I think it’s awesome! I’m a big quartz for just how low maintenance it is in every way. But I do miss sweeping seconds in most of my dailys
I have it and love it. Beautiful dial and a nice smooth sweep.

What made you pick the brown dial over the white and blue?
I have the white dial on a Colareb and love it, even if the strap is worth more than the watch! https://www.watchcrunch.com/speedbird36/posts/addiesdive-ad2030-on-colareb-260329. It has a lovely quality about it. I wasn't a huge fan of the quality of the bracelet, even though it's not technically bad. Just feels more elevated on a strap. A bit too cheap, light and jangly feeling for my liking.

Share some pics please, I am curious about how the watch looks in normal conditions.
Damn. That’s a professional shot! How did you get that texture? Great job!

Wish it was mine this a product page photo!
I'm watching current prices as I want this case and bracelet with a nh35 movement . I can then mod the heck out of it.
I have this movement in a few watches including the one pictured. It's an accurate and reliable movement that looks good in motion, would choose this over a standard 3 hand quartz Everytime.
When It comes to this particular Addiesdive, Its well finished and a bargain. I have two different colours and I am considering the blue one too!

I'd just watched Dune and I wanted something sandy 😄

Looks great in the sun and normal room lights 👌🏻
Very nice and elegant.

Thx a lot! I am interested in that watch but I was worried about legibility. Your pics are helpful!
I have a few Addiesdive and would recommend everytime. NH35 or vh31 movement. They have served me well.

Looks great on that NATO!

Six is not a few, it's a collection! 😄
I do like the San Martin version of this but it is more expensive.

Either way, you are making a great choice💯

I bought all three colors and the texture on the blue is way more subtle and barely perceptible at certain angles when compared to the white or sand colored ones.
Had the sand coloured one, great for the money
I have one of the black dial explorer type with the vh31 and it is very accurate and I love the sweeping minute hand. I just ordered the white sand model yesterday. Just couldn't stand it any longer. LOL
