Meet “Simone”

This is the way my world turns. You can believe it or not; it just is what happens and what I understand, and yet I don’t fully comprehend it. I simply accept it. You all get in on this one.

Many of my watches have revealed their names to me; I never ‘name’ them on my own. This is the way I understand it to be. It’s something that is whispered and passes through the mysterious aether.

I sent a photo from wearing this one today to my watch diviner friend, Jenya, since the watch originally came to me through her. One day this watch passed through her hands, and understanding that Glashütte Original is a ‘Kryptonite’ brand for me, AND because this particular watch was so divinely beautiful and an amazing pre-owned deal to be had, she presented her to me as a challenge, knowing I would go bonkers. Of course, she was correct; that is exactly what happened. This is how the watch came to me. It should be noted that she (the watch) has been in my life for quite some time.

As I mentioned, the photo - I rather casually said to Jenya that I was surprised that the watch had not revealed her name. In the instant of receiving my text, Jenya heard the name offered through the aether, just like that -

Ladies and Gentlemen, please meet “Simone”. 😊

While she may have a German heart, her soul is definitely French. As Jenya elaborated, “Classy. Elegant. With a side of sass.” That is this watch, all right. That is “Simone”.

Attractive watch. Crown guard is a touch big though for my liking. Enjoy it. Congrats.

The crown guard does stick out some, and it is a screw down crown. That being said, what you’re seeing is to a degree the poor shot angles and therefore some distortion of my slowly improving photography skills! 😆

·

I don't have anything like this but I love the the lines, the color pallette, the styling, the whole package. Thank you for sharing.

·

Terrific! I love that dial. Great watch, Louie!
