Great looking field watch Trevor. I read some good things about the Lotus line of watches. I really like 36mm watches. They just automatically have a vintage feel to me. I think the times when people were smaller and therefore watches were smaller were at least healthier times if not better times.

I hear you, Steve. Small and simple seemed very appealing to me and today this felt like an unfussy and comfortable choice.

An interesting connection with health and size and quite possibly correct, given today’s tendency for excess.

It is possible. I’ve done a few using my before - zoom in and get close and it should do the trick. Mop the watch before you snap though as a speck will be seen (unless you’re going wabi-sabi where you can accept it for what it is) and you’ll need steady hands too!

I would totally believe you 💯 I do this everyday on a number of watches 😜. It is exactly for that reason that I enjoy it - simple and not fussy or flashy. Wabi Sabi innit

Unfortunately my phone doesn't have a macro lens, I looked it up. I can get fairly close, but not like you do. Some day... 😃

The photo below was taken on an iPhone 14 as described before but since then I’ve used a macro lens on a slr camera.

Hmmm, I guess the iPhone is better than my Samsung. It's a few years old. I'll have to play with it some more. Thanks Trevor!
