It’s finally arrived—my Wristy 365 badge post!
This feels like the perfect time to reflect on the ‘journey’, and for me, it’s mostly been about my watch photography. Along the way, I’ve been lucky to receive encouragement from a wide variety of watch photographers here, as well as a ton of watch nerds who generously comment on and like my photos. Thank you 🙏
Anyways… lets take a brief trip down memory lane.
The fun began with this photograph.
When I discovered the weekly photography competition, I thought, ‘Why not give it a go?’ I’m glad I did—it pushed me to explore new ideas through the weekly challenges. This photo earned me a photography challenge badge @Kalsota
Along the way, alongside a few like-minded watch photographers, I began exploring different themes and drawing inspiration from others. @Yonder @DavidKos @napilut @Just.Dan

And later, I dabbled with double exposure
And my brief fascination with achieving maximum clarity and high resolution.
Throughout it all, one theme persisted—chiaroscuro, the interplay of light and shadow—and minimalism in my compositions. This theme became a constant that I returned to time and again.

“The Story of Time” Challenge
Capture a watch in a way that tells a story about time passing.
Rules:
The composition must suggest movement or change—this could be through motion blur, an old vs. new contrast, or an interaction with another object (like a melting ice cube, a burning candle, or shifting sand).
The watch should remain the focal point, but the surrounding elements should emphasize the theme of time.
Minimal post-processing—try to achieve the effect in-camera.
This challenge makes you think beyond just the watch itself and consider the concept of time visually.
If you choose to accept it, you have a week!!
