That’s been a feature of the Santos for as long as I can remember. I bought a Santos Galbee in 2001 & it had exactly the same on the seven numeral. The pic below is from my Santos 100 made in 2010;
There something similar in the Ball Standard Time 7. Anyone know if there’s something significant about the 7 aside from its location on the dial and having relatively straight lines?

There should be a secret Cartier signature on every timepiece with a printed dial but it’s not always on the VII, it can also be on the X!
Sure, we all love decorated movements and fine case finishing. The real treat is the smaller intricate details that bring true joy 😊
It’s printed on the Tank Must Large (in the VII) and the XL and Small but on a different number.
