If you could only have one?

Hands down. GADA. GOAT. All that. Enough said. Which would yours be?

Oh - I’m thinking my compañera- “Olivia”. She’s a Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph Panda. She um gets a lot of wrist time.

Oh, she is badass with some attitude, all right!!😎😆

That's a good looking watch. But that butterfly clasp is a deal breaker 😥

Is there a real thing - One and Done 🤔

I have a couple of GOATs in some people's definitions within my collection. And yet, I enjoy and love wearing this handsome simple and classic beauty.

If the GADA had to be my one and only watch, a longines conquest.

I would not feel comfortable going literally everywhere with a super expensive watch

·

That’s a great watch. What would be mine?

Currently I’m dreaming about this Nomos:

My GADA watch Certina 888 DS Multi - 8, a hybrid plus built in dual alarm with vibrator, dual time zone, accurate, stop watch, day date perpetual calendar full bit, back lit LCD screen that can be turned off/on. Hard to leave it behind!

Gorgeous GADA watch, yet not on the menu for me. I'd choose one of my Seikos/Grand Seikos if i had to pick.

·

Rolex Explorer because the piece would have to be GADA to a great degree. If I wasn't able to obtain one at retail which I probably could not, I'd go with an Omega Rail Master which I imagine I could get at or below retail. If I was never going to be near water I'd scrape together the money to get something really nice like an ALS Saxonia Thin or a similar VC. If none of these were in the budget I'd go with something much more mundane, the Seiko Alpinist GMT (I like the blue dial).

My current GADA is my Searambler.

One of my best…I wouldn’t call it a GADA though.

What a beauty, brother! I think if I could only keep one watch, considering why I chose this one in the first place (+ all I went through to get it), I'd stay with my GMT Master II. It is the watch that made me love watches.

I have one too. But it is duotone so not really GADA

Price is not the issue. There was a story of an oil rig worker who used his Rolex Sub as a beater. He'd simply wash the grime off at the end of the day for 20+ years.

You are correct, everyone has different needs and expectations for a GADA watch

I buy watches up and down the price spectrum. Cost doesn’t make a watch at all. But its value if I was stuck somewhere could benefit me.

Tissot PRC200, quartz. It's very low cost, yet satisfies what GADA stands for. Always accurate due to quartz, 200m water resistance with screw down crown, sapphire crystal, black dial with Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12. So it has the benefits and ruggedness of a standard diver, with the looks of an office watch. And it is super low maintenance due to the quartz. To me, the best GADA around, without spending a gazillion dollars! 😂

I love that case.

All the money in the world? Hard to argue with the VC Overseas Everest Dual Time, now that's a perfect watch!

Agreed! Yeah, sometimes I even think the jubilee is too flashy and says “Hello, I’m a Rolex here!” 🤪

That’s exxxactly why I like the jubilee. It’s literally called the Jubilee! Meant to be recognized.

Odysseus in Titanium is a wishful thinking for me.

·

If there can be only one, my Omega 1st gen Planet Ocean. Strap changes make it super versatile.

Cheers, Dave
