Cartier tank must solarbeat large?
Wanted opinions on the large Solarbeat tank. My AD says it’s not obtainable. He said they are making it but are not permitting a wait list because production is so slow.
Should I buy a large solarbeat on the grey market? Will Cartier be able to service it? Or should I buy the large quartz model from an AD? Thoughts?

If it was my money, I would buy a plain quartz. Swapping the battery every few years is lower maintenance and service later down the line in case anything goes wrong will also be less expensive. For a watch that is identical from the outside, I see no benefit to the solarbeat movement that will inevitably have a shorter life span and require changing the solar cells and capacitors sooner or later.
