If you have to kayak 7 days along the shore of freezing Iceland and then walk 7 days to the centre of North Pole, you can ONLY take two watches with you….(there will be food and all Antarctic gears of course.)

It will be cold, wet, against all odds and extreme elements…

Let’s get serious, show me your survival instincts and your two most trusted time pieces..

😂✌️🙇🏻‍♂️😃

·

I would go out and buy a G shock before going on that trip. It would also be the only watch I’d bring

But how about the second watch?

But how about the second watch?

An A. Lange und Söhne on a nato strap

·

Probably take a few pieces worth talking about whilst sipping rum and waiting in the hotel for you to finish your business of making life suck because you can. Outstanding🍻

·

You lost me at kayak 7 days...

·

Well the Tudor ranger because that is exactly what that watch was made to do. In fact the markers are painted because the adhesive used for applied indices can fail in extreme low temperature situations.

The second watch would be a G-Shock or Garmin GPS - satellite thinga mabob gizmos. I don't know a lot about those things but it seems logical.

I have a fake ranger with applied indices which is not made for the north Pole. But it's much better looking than the Tudor

I'm leaving sunny SoCal for what? 😂

·

I'd wear this

..and watch it on TV. 😁👍🏼

Out of watches I currently own, it would be my Seiko monster.

Robust choice!!

·

Only 2?

That being said I’d only realistically bring one of these 2. Dealers choice.

Both indicate 24hr time if you’re going in winter when it will be dark more often than not.

Sinn UX EZM is all you will need!

Yea… why would anyone have to kayak 7 days along the shore?

Mid life crisis people

I would not trust plastic or digital lcd screens in extreme colld temperatures so g-shock is discarded for me. I would take these two:

Omega Planet Ocean on bracelet

Sinn U50 on rubber

See, that’s a serious response to my scenario!!!

·

Im going to Iceland in December this year and will be taking my G Shock with me.

·

Tudor Titanium Pelagos and a Breitling Emergency so I can call for help.

·

I don't think I'll survive that adventure! 😅🫣 But I would die with these two watches:

Erm g-shock and brietling emergency 2.

·

I might take a Sinn Arktis or another watch that’s been tested in the extreme cold for this kind of expedition 🍻

·

What än unusually interesting premise…

I need very, very robust watches, so I'd probably take two Promasters with me. My main watch would be the world's first light-powered, satellite-synchronizing ISO-certified diver in titanium, the CC5006-06L:

The second would probably be my blue-wave dial Orca, the BN0238-02L, just for a little fun + its awesomely strong lume:

I'm really tempted to cheat änd throw in the ultra-lightweight Casio G-Shock GBX100-7 – it tracks a lot including high & low tide information for the spot of your choosing + sun & moon rise times:

Only downside is thät the LCD display might freeze. 🥶

Here's the thing - would a G shock function well in the cold? I've always wondered how the LCD would function in the extreme cold.

I think those 2 solar will be perfect for those cold windy wet moments... I'm in Québec and they survived our winters so far!

Robust choice. I’m attempted to bring one G shock too.
