Yes.. by my long grey beard and crooked staff I have been mistaken for Gandalf on many occasion 🤪

About 6 years ago I made this walking pole and another one for Mrs Y from a lime tree I was pruning. To be honest. I'm really surprised they've lasted this long

Nicely fashioned and sturdy it seems! As well as being a functional piece of kit, you could strike down any watch thieves that come your way, Gandalf would be proud 😜

As always.. great comment, Kostas. And you are not wrong about the Arab influence. The main road leading in to the area is called the Mudéjar Highway named after the Muslims who remained in Iberia in the late medieval period following the Christian reconquest. This sculpture at the side of the road (not my picture) represents the highway meeting the Mudéjar star 🙏🏻
