Thanks to @WabiSabiMaster and @burntleaves it seems #chiaroscuro is actually a thing now. Who says watch collecting can't be an art form 🤔
For the uninitiated.. In art, chiaroscuro is the use of strong contrasts between light and dark, usually bold contrasts affecting a whole composition.
This is my take on the technique which also incorporates #bluemonday
In case anyone is wondering why I'm only showing a few of my watches at the moment, I'm actually travelling and they are packed away. Except for this hardy bunch.

John you were mastering depth in your photos even before finding out about chiaroscuro. Rombouts would have definitely approved your artful wrist (and not only) shots 👌
What is more dramatic than winter in Flanders afterall. That's where the real chiaroscuro was born and they didn't know it either until the Italians taught them how to call it 😂
