Wow Citizen…..
I have previously owned a few watches from Citizen and either I sold them or given them away to family members to which I sworn I would not buy anything Citizen that is until I came across this JDM model, I have done a lengthy research and watched reviews on this particular model but I have to say this has regained my interest in the brand.
This model, NB-1050-59E, is very well designed and although I have a few minor problems with it (one being the lug width of 19mm) I can overlook them. I have purchased this for about $330 and I must say that this model is very comfortable and impressive for the value that it brings.
Now I know what I will write is pretty bold of a statement but it gives me Rolex datejust vibes, I never personally owned one in my life, but this particular piece gives me the impression that I legitimately have a Datejust oyster perpetual and I love it, if this is the closest thing I will have to get one, then I am happy with this piece as aforementioned. The dial, hour and minute hands, hour markers just hits every checkpoint I want in a watch that balances dressy/casual/daily wear that I even purchased the white dial version and call it my panda set 😂 I will post the white dial, NB-1050-59A, on another day
Now onto my next watch purchase until next time..
I'm just a fanatic about watches, I have a few Seikos, Tissot, Bulova and depending if it matches my style. I also sell my watches

The previous Citizen watches I had were from the eco-drive collection which is okay but for whatever reason I didn’t wear them as much as I thought I would and they stayed occupying my watchbox plus they look very vanilla in hand so I gave them to family members who were going to wear them more than me or I sold them on Ebay and made my money back as oppose to this watch I purchased that has a premium look to it and it felt different than the Citizen watches I had in the past, as far as the Tsuyosa goes it reminds me of the PRX I had also which resulted in me selling it, so I am not interested in it cause if I did that for the PRX then surely I would with the Tsuyosa

Very nice 👍 and I agree they don’t get much credit that they deserve the eco drive movements are far beyond what they should be but I guess the one that I thought would look good on me didn’t, I did buy one citizen watch that had a manufacturing defect and when I reported it I had a bad experience with it so that also played a part in me being away from the brand

Probably the best Citizen ever been build in this price category. I had the blue one now the black one. Great watch!

Did you look at the NB1060? The blue lacquer dial is so gorgeous that I always have it in my radar. It's a design very close to some of their high end Chronomasters, but with a 9000 Miyota. It should take the bracelet of your 1050 according to some YouTubers.

Yes I have seen them but honestly I don’t think I will purchase them but they’re stunning 🔥

That adds to the attraction,it’s hard to fault a clean classic dial layout & at 10mm that’s a cherry on the cake. Well done finding it. I think the export Citizens are a lot thicker? Did you find the model no I’m definitely going to check that out. Thanks

It’s beautiful when you get to own it, the stock photo doesn’t do it justice
The NB1050-59A made me feel like I owned an OP/GS/AT all at the same time. Great watch at the price. The 3D detail on the hour markers and the date window kept me staring multiple times during the work day.
I also have this. It is my go to dress watch.
