Casio W-59 vs F91W vs W-86 - best little watches

Hello everyone. I wanted to say that the Casio W59 is the world's greatest watch ha ha.

Okay no.. really..I mean it

If anyone is wanting something very easy to wear, legible and beautifully retro, then please take my advice.

Compared to my old F91W (see photo), it is a little more premium, the case has a smoother sturdier feel with a real little smooth "bezel". It's more water proof and somehow just feels more premium. It feels a little more 80s too due to the slightly different dial. The buttons are a tad bigger, display more crisp.

W-86 (given to my brother in law now) is also wonderful, but a little more quirky with that turquoise colour. I also didn't prefer the full on heavy blue light on it. Funny, I woke up at 5am pushed the little side light on the W59, and it was retro green, and I could tell the time perfectly in pitch black. The bright blue of W86 used to blind me!

So yes, anyone wanting a little "detox / rehab" watch, go for the W-59. It is my favourite Casio yet (although still love my "outdoor beater" 5600e G shock).

Yeah I loved that one too. I find it a little more cartoony because of the colours. But it's a great one for sure

It's always lived in the shadow of the F-91w despite being more durable - not sure why. Speaking of cartoony colors though...

Yes, I do prefer the W59. In every way it's better than the F91W for me at least

Those cloth strap ones are pretty cool!

I like the idea of a detox watch. There was a WC user here who apparently did just that and only wore the F91W for a whole year. Imagine that?!

Oh I'm not sure I can ha ha ha! I will try to enjoy my casio for a while, but a year? No chance... a kind Cruncher sent me a metal 41mm Timex, which may help for a while
