IMHO Casio is pushing the prices up in general.

This one is correctly placed between the GW-M5610 and the GW-5000: both add atomic, solar and dual time but the first is a standard G-Shock, white the second is Japan made and has a steel case with extra coating.

Here the 200$ brings:

  • a satisfying recreation of an iconic model, with many details different from the usual squares

  • Japan manufacturing

  • Nicer strap

  • Steel case and screwing back

Is that worth 150$ more than a regular square? I would have preferred a $150-160 price tag, but I already lost the train of the 40th anniversary model and the GW-5000 is more expensive and too monochrome to me.

Great robust reliable piece for a good looking day Mauro ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Well, I had some of the 40th anniversary modelsโ€ฆ.you werenโ€™t missing much.

But, weโ€™ll see how long Casio can keep going upโ€ฆ..when Tudor, Seiko, and a bunch of others are coming downโ€ฆ.the market will determine it, so letโ€™s see

Happy Friday Mauro ๐ŸŽ‰
