This Ball Is Magic
In being extremely selective on the pieces that I add to my collection, Ball was a no brainer for the price. I've been collecting watches that have meaning in a number of areas. Being an Army Vet, Hamilton has a special place in my collection.
However, this Ball timepiece was purchased with my granny in mind. Her 1st and only job out of college was at Union Station where Amtrak, Union Pacific and the Metra utilized the railways traveling throughout the city of Chicago.
Knowing the story behind the Ball Watch Company makes me proud of my granny being apart of the railways and having this watch commemorates her 30 years with Amtrak and even creating a switcher system back in the 60's.
This watch is 737/1000 but means more than it's limited position within the line. Family heirloom comes to mind!!
Just a watch enthusiasts that enjoys this hobby with like minded people!

I have a green one, but my wife said she has the jokes cued up if I ever get a blue dialed Ball :)
