Doesn't look like it should be an issue, but pretty sure modern movements have better anti-magnetism protection. For vintage watches, I'd put them further away from quartz et al for precaution.
Good point, haven't been doing direct comparisons via specs - just based on the GMT feature alone. Have noticed san Martin GMTs going for half the price. @neloms
I think what's meant is when you move your arm in quick succession and stop, you'll notice the watch case move left to right in motion with the movement inside. I actually like seeing that too, but others would find it annoying
