The Old Swaparoo

I'm happier than a pig in fresh poo. I'll (hopefully, briefly) explain... Looking at my watches last night. Looking at the ones that haven't been worn...

Happy Hour?

Oh, look. It's 20 minutes past Happy Hour. Yes, dark lighting. Shade! Hot here.

So, where are my Omega vintage watch experts?

Here are four watches I've collected along the way. Usually, they were purchased simply for their excellent condition & appearance. They're simply...

All the best! My father just turned 90 in May. Much respect to them!

OR...by Friday, will your father be getting a brand-new Seiko? And as coincidence would have it, you'd be wearing a brand-new Breitling? 🙄 / 😉!

Something like a RL could be interesting, I suppose. But, as a Brand, they really need to focus / promote the watch guts. The 'build' of it and the mechanism. Not just their pretty ' branded' face.

I like the look of most watches better when on a strap. Of course, a high quality or 'select' piece of leather can be beautiful. So much character to them.

I really like the convenience of NATO's, too. They can be swapped out so quickly, it's kind of fun.

But Summer? Yes, sticking with bracelets the majority of the time. Come on, Fall!

And don't even get me started on the 'holidays' straps...

OMEGA. Chronos.

Did it really take that long to ask this rather simple question?

Well, seems I've just seen my next (pocket) watch. This is awesome, so cool. Best idea I've seen in quite a while!

"...no business..."? How about from the simple perspective of 'relative scale'?

How much larger is an 8" wrist vs. 6"? 33.33%

How much larger is a 41mm case vs. a 36mm? Only 13.88%

Conclusion: As a matter of relative scale, a 41mm watch wears smaller on an 8" wrist than a 36mm watch on a 6" wrist.

Qualified responses always sound so much smarter.

Big(ger) wrist guy, out.

A modern OMEGA Constellation Pie Pan. A 38mm or 42mm (+?), who'd stand in line?

I'm always amazed brands, big brands such as this, try to figure out how to sell watches. Seems a modern Pie Pan would crush it. If you must, do the r...
