Strapcode Angus Not Recommended

Sorry to report that the angus jubilee from Strapcode is something I recommend AGAINST getting; at least for a watch the size of my Seiko SARB033 or similar.

I have many Strapcode bracelets including several of their Super Jubilee models. The bracelet on my SKX009 is a strapcode super jubilee. Generally I have found Strapcode makes very good bracelets. The links are well made, the end links fit well, and the clasps are good.

The angus though, is not good (IMO) for watches that are not extremely large. It doesn’t look bad from the top view, but from the side you can see how over sized it is. The photo shows the angus next to a ‘super’ and it’s apparent the angus is very over sized. For my SARB033, which is 38mm by 11mm thick (tall), the angus bracelet just over powers the watch and doesn’t wear well. So I’ve changed back to a Strapcode oyster style bracelet that works great (IMO).

I would not recommend an angus bracelet for an SKX either. It could work well for a very large (44mm+ by 15mm+ thick??), or larger but recommend staying away from the angus for watches the size of an SKX007/009 or smaller.

Overall though, I do recommend Strapcode bracelets because I’ve been very pleased with all my other examples.

I tend to wear larger watches. 41mm '+' is my wheelhouse. I don't 'need' a new bracelet right now, but these will be stored in memory for a future date.

One of the best parts of WC to me. The shared experiences & references (or not).
