Reading and critiquing student short stories with the Shunbun. It’s a literary high fantasy morning apparently with some pretty cool magic systems.
As a writer and professor I forget that I actually get paid to talk about the logistics of covering up a murder in someone’s novel, monsters, and how to make someone’s marital affair both reprehensible and empathetic at the same time . . . Oh, and maybe that couple are both retired super heroes 😂 Pretty lucky honestly. Lots of time to stare down at my wrist as well!

Perfection. One hears all the time the hyperbole about photos not doing a piece justice. But for this one, this one here, it’s a 💯 accurate statement.

And the fact that this is just my outdated iphone while I work at a cafe. You don't even have to try that hard to make this watch look good.
In my opinion, this is the best Grand Seiko

I'm def biased. It's beautiful and probably has become one of the most iconic Grand Seiko models at this pt. Used to be the Snowflake and that's still def popular, but I think an argument can be made that the Shunbun among others have become synonymous with the brand . . . others might be the Ohtani GMT - SBGM221, maybe the Omiwatari (and other Suwa-ish wave models), the White Birch.
