Description
This is one of the two Grand Seiko’s I bought in 2019. I had learned about the accuracy of the Spring Drive, and as I had many quartz watches over the years, I was still not a convert to the lesser accuracy of mechanicals. Once I saw this model at the AD, I was sold. The polish, dial finish and overall feel were and are among the best I’d ever seen. This has been a favorite in my collection. I only have three GS watches as each sets the bar so high, it’s hard to rationalize a fourth. Someday, I will I’m sure. This one has a very similar dial to the Snowflake, but it has a blue tint and the case dimensions are somewhat smaller, which I think is an improvement. The Spring Drive is as accurate as claimed, the case is a bit thick for a dress watch, but it wears well and is very comfortable.
Always interested in variety, but must be useful
