Golden shadow
Having got myself a UG White Shadow on mesh (effectively the OG Genta design that PP homaged for the Golden Elipse) I have been on the look out for similar UG dress watches.
After several months of looking on EBay and Chrono24 I eventually found what seems to be an honest golden shadow with decent dial and a 18k yellow gold case.
The watch keeps reasonable time for something c50 years old and seems pretty original. The horrible strap it came on was consigned to the bin and I treated it to a Hirsch lizard skin strap.
The measurements are
34mm x 7.2mm with 39.9 lug to lug. The height is dominated by a lovely domed acrylic crystal.
On wrist it has a great vintage vibe and I’m currently ‘chuffed to bits’
Living in SE England. Worn a watch since 1977 and feel odd without one on my wrist. Lucky enough to have built up a few over the years.
