Some free watches I acquired.
My brother-in-law's father passed away earlier this year, and while going through his stuff, he found a box of watches. He didn't want any of them (they are Apple watch people), so he gave them to me. A Citizen quartz, a Casio Telememo, an Armitron, and a Guess Steel. There was also a Timex Expedition in there, but my dad asked for that one.
The Citizen was really the best looking one in the bunch, and that's not saying much. It's pretty generic, has an awkwardly clumsy bracelet, and has the branding for the company he worked for. I'm guessing it was a service award. It does have a nice sunburst silver dial, and I like the bezel. Day/date watches are always loved by me.
I cleaned up the Citizen and resized the bracelet. It was still running, so I didn't bother to pop the case back. I'll probably just keep it in the collection for now. When my nephew is a little older, I'll ask him (and my BIL) again if one of them wants it. My nephew is in high school right now, and I can imagine the only "cool" watches being worn are smart watches.
The other watches are all in need something: new bands, new movement, etc. None are really my style, but I'm not sure if I should get rid of them just yet. I might put them away for now, or at least clean them up and try to find bands for them. I'll probably keep wearing the Citizen, but I'm thinking the bracelet might need to be swapped out or something a little more comfy.

Thank you. Nothing really special about the Citizen that stands out, but for a free watch it's fine. I've got enough watches already (with one more on the way), so I don't mind if my dad wants to keep the Timex. 😁 Maybe I can clean up a couple of these other ones for him, as well.
that citizen is actually pretty decent and the company-specific logo gives it a bit of "history" if you will!
have a similar Casio Telememo (with likely the same movement as yours) strapped to the handlebars of my motorcycle ... great way to keep track of the time when out for a scoot!
