So early in the 80s that I can see plenty of 70s hangover in, for example, that “Alarm” font!
To be totally honest, I don't know for a fact that it isn't from the very late 70's. I've run into a little contradiction about the watch model and not much info on these older NSC lcd models. Either way, it's from when gold was still king fonts were still groovy!

I have an old NSC LED watch about which I’ve been able to learn almost nothing, so I sympathize. Except for the existence of the watches themselves, it’s like a decade or more of history just went missing!

It is very strange, isn't it? They were right there with the big boys of their day, and only recently were bought out by Texas Instruments... yet almost nothing is out their about their foray into digital watches. A few short and spotty lists of a few models, a good but short video on their history by Illuminating Watches on Youtube... but not much else. I actually had a mind to try to reach out to someone at TI in the NSC division and ask if there is any information still around on their end. I haven't had good luck with either Timex or Armitron so far when I reached out to them on similar questions... it'd be ironic if NSC were actually the ones to have some pride in their old products and share some details.
If you have a model # for your LED or a good picture, I'll pass that along too.
a simple nostalgic guy who loves his wife, his dogs, and digital watches from the 80s and 90s. a Timex, Casio, or Armitron has been on my wrist every day for over 30 years.
