W-59 or F-91 ?
This one's for the Casio guys...
We ALL know and probably own an F-91W, and other members of its family in the Classic line of cheap (yet wonderful) relics of the 80s and 90s.
But the W-59 is older, slightly bigger, has the same retro- sporty style and colors and although it has the same unfortunate backlight as the F-91W the W-59 also comes with 50m of water resistance.
I have owned so many of its brothers... but until this year I didn't have the slightest clue that it existed. So glad I found it though, I definitely prefer it since it's got a little more beef to it, the color design is bolder and the strap and lugs just look better to me personally.
I also really dig it for (supposedly) being the oldest Casio design still in production today, or until recently. Just learned from @Drowning_in_Digitals that it is likely also discontinued now. Which makes not knowing about it and having it on my wrist ages ago somehow even worse.
But what about you? Do you like it better than the F-91?

W-59 is certainly the tougher option. Until just a few years ago you could get 'em for only few bucks more than the F-91w so I think they're out of production. There's still some left online in the $20 range so anyone wanting to grab one before they jump in price should act soon. And if you're lucky you might run into one of the newer color variants from 2017.

Well... I guess I'm glad I got mine then when I did. They always seem to discontinue what I like best. Darn it.

Do you mean the W202? It's a sharp looker for sure, but doesn't give me the same vibes. I adore my F-86 though, with the teal color splash, EL backlight and absolutely perfect strap!

Slightly bigger button, slightly bolder digit and that open lug is more strap friendly especially for NATO strap.

I think so. There's also a similar one with an orange light I think.
