Making space in a collection

For storage space I have a 10 watch watch box, a 2 watch winder and a 4+5 watch winder. Hopefully on Friday I will be getting my 21st watch that I really like, meaning I am all out of storage space. I set a limit on how much storage space I’d allow myself, partly to assuage my better very patient half’s fears of the house filling with watches but mostly as a means of dealing with the fact that I don’t have the best self control. On Friday I’m hitting that limit, and I’m nowhere near ready to stop, which means I’m going to need to clear some space before I buy another watch. Do how does everyone else handle this.

  1. Do what I think I’ll be doing and just randomly select a watch that doesn’t get a lot of wrist time and find it a new home?

  2. Have a few important pieces that you’ll never get rid of but then be okay with letting go of the rest?

  3. See this hobby as an investment and see what will net you the mist money when it’s time to sell?

  4. Other. Don’t think I need to explain this. Maybe you have a mixture of all three, maybe you don’t let go of any of your watches, maybe you’ve got a great system that makes this really easy.🤞

Just curious as I’ve been both really looking forward to and also dreading getting to this point. Sorry about the length of this question.

I’ll give that some serious consideration. 😉

Thanks. Problem is what I want is variety, which means I’m constantly finding new ones to get.
