I have zero interest in the F-91W and also not in the Casio calculator watches. Iโm probably just too young to have any kind of nostalgic sentiments towards them.

I'm from the 80s.
So to me this watch will be always special.
So many adults that I love had that watch as I was growing up.
Was a kid in the 70's, so no real nostalgia for them.
Had a few indestructible G-Shocks , but digital doesn't do anything for me now, but I'm quite focused in what I like - plain easy to read no date 3 handers, either auto or quartz.
I do remember seeing F91w's about most of my life tho, so I get it & think they're an excellent tool.
Heck Iโve even bought a replica F91W once for giggles. $1.95 delivered on a slow boat from China. Iโd forgotten Iโd ordered it by the time it arrived. It looked like the real thing but the build quality was terrible. The quartz module in it lost 3 seconds a day. And the battery was dead in about a year. Itโs in a drawer somewhere. Figure the strap is a spare if mine ever breaks.
I recommend saving up for the real thing though. Itโs worth it. ๐คช
Can't remember a time I didn't own at least one. There plenty of digitals that do everything it does and more better... but there's a special magic about that one.
The F91-W has great memories, but I can only think of it as the Osama bin Laden โ now, even though I grew up seeing it so frequently in the eighties.
I am not making any untoward associations between the F91-W and illicit acts or nefarious characters.
It is just odd how one reference completely upended its reputation, which was and remains iconic for the brand.
So, to be fair and not isolate the F91-W, Fidel Castro wore the Rolex Submariner, while Che Guevara wore the GMT Master.
Brezhnev, Honecker, and even Mao owned gold Rolex Datejusts.
Vladimir Lenin owned a pocket โ from H. Moser & Cie.
Adolf Hitler had a tourbillion made by A. Lange & Sรถhne.
Muammar al-Gaddafi wore the Rolex Datejust and Patek Philippe.
The list continues, but the "halo effect" does not corrode the overall reputation of these โ.
Yes I have one ๐คซ๐ฑ. It's the ultimate stealth watch in as far as it never really sees the light of day. I think it is my most travelled watch It's taken on every holiday as a spare watch or if I feel unsafe wearing my number 1 choice. Don't remember it ever leaving the suitcase but it's piece of mind knowing it is there. The rest of the time it lives in my work bag as spare, not wearing a watch is too weird a d this fits the bill. In a break glass emergency type of way. My least worn but most travelled watch. ๐คฏ
Already have a casio and a g shock so no intention to get one. HOWEVER, I bought one a while back for my brother and goddamn it looks good. Between that and the seiko 5 snkl23 that I'm giving him for his birthday I'm starting to get jealous ๐

Great memories.
Issued and rebought several throughout basic.
Kept one around for funsies, but now graduated to the overall better big brother.
Have the 5610 square. I understand the nostalgia, just not for me, NERD!! ๐๐๐

Had several growing up. Have one now. Will probably always have one.
It's nice but I would just prefer to have the MQ-24.

The Pope's watch?

I had one when I was a kid, but it's too small for me now. (Love it)
I like French fries

I have a few, my 5 year old wears them. Lol
I really like my gold version. I wear it very often so even the strap broke. Luckily I was able to source the spare one
I own one, Iโll never wear it again. Overrated. Legendary because of sales longevity only.
I own one, I use it at work.

Hipster junk, bought by the easily-influenced.
You can further demonstrate that by uttering the words "God Tier!" whenever the F-91W is mentioned.

I Inherited this baby from my son which I rotate as part of work watches.
I have a few, my 5 year old wears them. Lol
Same situation. I gave an F91 to my 4 year old son and an F84 to my 6 year old son ๐ฅฐ
