SOTC from a first time poster

Been lurking awhile now and finally feel comfortable enough to share my SOTC!

Wow 🤩

·

Now that’s strong 💪 like a upper cut to the chin. Nice collection

·

Very nice. What's that one on the bottom left next to the GO?

·

Congratz - really nice collection 👍🏻👍🏻

·

Great collection!!

·

Very nice indeed! Some classic pieces in there. That GO Pano is an absolute stunner 💎.

Do you (unlike me) follow a particular collecting strategy? Or is it ‘buy what you like’ / I really need watch XYZ right now (like me :-)

It's from #feynman timekeepers, a Singaporean brand which is where I'm from.

I think they have really cool designs that borrow from high horology at a relatively affordable price!

I'm fairly new to the watch game, so I'm very much still in the tick all the boxes category😅

I do have some rules that I try to follow, otherwise the collection will just blow up:

  1. Try not to repeat a same style of watch and complication. (Exceptions could be that the design is different and fresh enough)

  2. The watch must be the right size. I have a small wrist, so finding that watch that fits nicely is really satisfying. I do drool over many watches but I'm sized out.(possible blessing in disguise for my wallet🤣)

  3. The price must be right. I have no qualms buying second hand. We have this app in Singapore called Carousell which acts as a second hand marketplace, and you can save searches and alerts for newly posted items. So if I ever revisit a search and happen to see a good price on it I would have to think hard on rule 1 and 2 and convince myself on the purchase.

Right now I think I'm at a point where it will be a one-in-one-out policy where a future purchase replaces a style in the collection.

Tastes may change though so you never know😄

Thanks, I'll have to check them out. Has some Voutilainen vibes to it. Very cool

Nice collection. Welcome to watch crunch.

·

Nice! Which watch sees the most wrist time?

Welcome! Like your choices

Nice! Which watch sees the most wrist time?

I would say the Speedy Racing is my most worn. It's a good size for small wrists and the double sided AR makes the reverse panda look striking even from far.

On the other hand the Khaki field was my first mechanical but took a severe back seat in wrist time while acquiring more expensive pieces. Lately though ive been appreciating it more and finding that it really holds its own in the collection as a down to earth piece.😁

·

Now why would you be hiding that collection away! 😂

·

Dynamaite collection. Literally all bases covered!

·

Amazing connection! Maybe a Sinn U50 next?

·

Nice, you are truly blessed! What a collection.

·

What a Stellar Collection 💯💪?!

·

How do you like the glashutte? Does it sit well on the wrist?

·

Sheesh. Like the collection, especially the glashutte

·

Fantastic and well-rounded collection there! Also have similar questions on the GO as someone with a similar sized wrist.

·

Nice collection

·

That’s a great selection of watches!

·

That top right Serica is gorgeous. I’ve been eyeing that 5303 for some time and I think you just sold me

The dial is indeed big, but the L2L is mangeable, and is a surprisingly decent wear on my wrist.

I would even say on a strap it wears similar or smaller than a 40mm GS due to overall narrower lugs!

A quote I saw on Instagram really stuck with me and made me open to bigger dial pieces: "when you have a small wrist any watch can be a Panerai"🤣

I know right? They really nailed the design.

I was torn between the white and the blue, but I think the hint of red text on the glossy white dial is what sold me.

Nice and no rolex

I envy your discipline and self control in keeping your collection within that eight slots box ❤️
