In addition to doing my own research I am spending quite a lot of time watching YouTube videos of people talking about watches. So far my 3 favorites are in no particular order. 1. Teddy Baldassarre - pro's: seems to really know so much about all the watches - con's: seems too gravitate to watches that are either at the edge of what I may one day be able to see afford and crazy money. 2. The UrbaGentry - Pro's in addition IMO a funny interesting personality that's a delight to listen to and being really knowledgeable he seems to be relatable. I feel like I am able to understand more of what I feel I want in my watch collection even if it doesn't match his thoughts. - Con's: the intro at the start can take too long and often goes into pricey watches that make me spin into searching for homages. 😀 3. Watches and Beer - Pro's: he keeps it affordable and fun. Con's: I am not really sure how much he knows but since I am pretty new he still has things I need to know even though he isn't where I think the previous 2 are. Maybe too much like you should do this but I don't mind it I know I have my own likes and dislikes. I am going to say 2 of them don't hate me. It's me not you!😂 Never going to have a analog watch and not going down the G-Shock rabbit hole! Ok so that is what I wanted to share. Please tell me what you think of these and tell me your recommendations of who you think a new watch collector should be watching on YouTube. I am usually under $300 for a watch sometimes going to $500. My grail watches will maybe reach $2000 at some point, and I appreciate color, texture, something a little different. Also if you are think that's me too that's awesome I would love to follow you.
A little over 3 years in, and a bit over a year on WC. What was one has now became many. I very much enjoy watches. Current member of the Horological Society of Utah. New to building and designing wat...

I absolutely Love the Videos made by „the mad watch collector“. He‘s a funny relatable dude and his Videos Feel like streight from the 80‘s. Also „Just one More watch“ does an amazing Job with affordable watches 😊
Oh thanks so much! I will check them out. I am totally an 80s vibe guy and information on affordable watches is my favorite!
I can't stand Teddy for a variety of reasons. I generally try to stay away from people reviewing stuff that they happen to be selling in their drop ship store. I try to find videos by watch enthusiasts. Bruce Williams is a great channel, Worn and Wound does well (even though they sell stuff)

Thanks, that's a valid point. I don't have a problem with it myself but most of what he sales is above my price range and if there was anything there I can probably get it cheaper somewhere else. For now I like him ok but you know that could change. 😀 I will definitely give a look to those 2! Thanks for sharing them! I did lol after you said they sell some stuff, that was great! 😂

You'll definitely see your tastes change a bit as you watch more and more videos. Certain channels will become almost unwatchable (Hodinkee) while others like Bruce seem to be constant

Shane at Relative Time is well worth looking at. Based in Texas I believe. Also as others have mentioned The Mad Warch collector from here in the UK is very entertaining and has sound knowledge.
