Realization and Acceptance

I been having mixed feelings about owning this watch and was very close to selling it. I thought buying the Ranger bracelet will make me reconnect with it. It didn’t however, I have come to terms that I will not be selling it. This is the watch that will keep me grounded and appreciate the rest of my watch collection that I’m lucky to have.

I absolutely love the BB58 in blue. Great that you decided to keep it. If you do how ever decide to part with your ranger bracelet I'm on the lookout for one to my Ranger. 😀

If you don’t like it i don’t get why you don’t want to sell it.

I really know how you feel. I have a watch like that. It has Roman numerals and I’m so over Roman numerals. The dial is steel, and hand guilloched! It’s actually, like your Tudor, a pretty valuable watch. It has a very special movement, too. But I thought about selling it. And then I recall that it was with us when my father was dying of cancer. It reminds me of long drives through the wilderness to his city and looking forward to seeing him.

So, yeah. Never selling it. Here’s the watch:

It reminds me of where I was in life when I bought it. It’s a great reminder, I guess more on the sentimental side. Also, I hate gray market dealers.

For sure. Its very pricey for a bracelet so I can understand if anyone buys it second hand.

I guess the sentiments behind it is more valuable than the actual watch. Cheers, glad I’m not alone with this thoughts.

I don't have a blue one and ever time I see it I want it...

·

Did Tudor sell you that bracelet?

Did Tudor sell you that bracelet?

Yes, they even installed and sized it for me.

You have to see this in person. Its a flat dull blue color.

·

I've had it on wrist...that's what is so appealing about Tudor...matte finishes

My bad, I thought you haven’t seen it in the flesh.

I was in a similar position with my BBPro. Pulled out of a pretty much done deal at the last second, which didn’t look good on my part. But I just couldn’t bring myself to sell it.

Anyway the watch spent another 2 months without being worn so eventually had to just let it go. Found another buyer who paid slightly less, but at least I was sure this time.

I’m in a similar dilemma with the same black bay. I fell out of love with mines. I know for sure I will trade or sell it sooner than later.

I got it appraised by Bucherer and Chronext and the offer was disgusting low. I’d rather keep it.

I've been having similar thoughts about my gilt BB58, was considering selling it due to some overlap with other pieces but glad I didn't due to its versatility and sentimental value.

How do you find the ranger bracelet? I bought mine on the leather strap so have been considering the ranger bracelet to change it up a bit!

I feel sad reading this, not because of the beautiful watch, but because you are resigned to keeping it, even though you don’t want it. I get that you’d never get the money you paid for it if you sold it now, so that’s a reasonable concern.

I have a feeling you may grow to love it again. It happens! ( it definitely happens if you sold it)

So wear it in great health!

That’s what happened to my Laco. Thought it was too big, learned the history and design of pilot watches being even bigger and it grew on me. Gets a lot of wrist time and it’s not too bad (42mm on 7.25 inch wrist just all dial lol but have gotten compliments on it

I sold mine and instantly regretted it.

The bracelet is great. Feels at home with it and makes it even more simple without the rivets.

They probably offered you peanuts for it. Good decision - keep it.

Its was an insult. It affirmed my hatred of them.

I like it even more when I get that comment, its a watch not many people like.

It’s special, for sure. More power to you, mate.

I used to hat’s and really bash Tudor and now I can’t get enough of the Monochrome.

So I won’t rule myself out of liking the Omega someday in the future (the white Speedmaster completely steals the show for me) ;)

I knew I was going to get a moonwatch but I want it in white nonlimited release as I hate limited release watches. I wasn’t planning on buying it but when I popped into the boutique 15 minutes before it closes, they offered to me in the spot since I told them it was my wedding anniversary.

That is a great watch. Hold on to it my friend. No regrets. 😁😁

Thanks you and no more regrets.

Why the mixed feelings? This is a great watch to have in the collection. Been wearing mine for almost 60% of the first 6 months.

·

Woa Woa Woa the ranger bracelet fits?
