Kuoe Kyoto Experience

I was on a family vacation in Japan. It just perfectly lined up with the opening of the new shop for Kuoe Kyoto watches.

I took a moment away from wife and kids to check it out. I was thinking to purchase a watch to celebrate the trip with something expensive from secondary. There were so many amazing ones I saw.

Kuoe stood out because it was unquie piece for a Japan trip. The design inspiration from old field watches and smaller in size at 37mm. Similar to my Kurono Tokyo but thicker. Once I was there I gravitated to the Old Smith 90-002 in Green with date and upgraded doomed sapphire.

I can’t be happier with the experience and the purchase. The people were friendly talked about the brand with love and about watches in general. If your ever in Kyoto, Japan check out this Amazing new shop of theirs.

Congratulations, what an experience.

Great company. I've had mine for a couple of years and it's a favorite.

Congrats on the new watch. Must have been an incredible experience

·

I like it and how it says “ Japan Made.”

I just showed this post to my wife because she hated going to Windup Watchfair and we’re planning to go to Japan 😂😂

She did buy me a Studio Underd0g coming in July though haha.

Nice shop! Been curious about Kuoe

How could she hate Windup??? Then again my wife rolls her eyes anytime I say anything about watches lol.

I think you would love the little shop experience and the watch. I got a StudioUnderd0g series 2 last year and it’s a fun sibling to this Kuoe.

Someone stood in front of our parking spot after 30 mins of circling around the lot to kick things off and it was super windy and we forgot the kids diaper so it was a bunch of stuff not directly related to watches but didn’t help I suppose. She did like Anordain and Studio Underdog and a few others!

Looking forward to checking it out next year hopefully!!

Beat me to the question.

Let’s take guesses. I say it’s a 7.25

Haha that’s what I would guess (and it happens to be my wrist size as well)

Strap looks snug so it’s hard to gauge. 7.0?

I visited Kyoto in 2019. Next time I need to stop by their store. Congratulations!

·

Thanks for sharing. I’ve been slowly researching them an other Japanese manufacturers as I am going to Japan in October. I want to pick up a watch memory there. I have two GS and plan to go to the Seiko museum etc but want something unique ideally. Wish Kuoe built larger diameter pieces.

·

You got the same one I got! Wear it well. It’s a nice little watch.

·

Nice choice of design and color way! Looking forward to going there next month. I hope i can get the 37 mm because i could not see myself wearing a 35 mm which is what most of their models are offered. Or at least when I get to try a 35 mm, might change my mind about that size.

·

Awesome!

I’ll be in Kyoto in a few weeks - will check it out!

·

Congrats to your nice Watch!

·

You have chosen wisely 🙏

·

Nice. I was in there today too!

Nice - I was last there in 2018 and I think this was before KUOE opened… I would love to have gone! Managed to get my grand seiko at yodobashi though. If you haven’t been in there, the watch department is insane 😁

That’s a beauty 😍
