Owning high vs. low end brands, Part 3!
This time we're comparing how much of us own a Seiko vs. a Grand Seiko! Shoutout to @miamiwatchvice for coming up with this brilliant comparison!
You can decide what counts as a Seiko or a Grand Seiko if it's a judgement call, but really, if it says Seiko on the dial it's a Seiko, and if it says Grand Seiko on the dial it's a GS.

...and so many more over the years. I actually don't understand how you could be a fan of one and not the other. 🙂
I have 3 Grand Seikos and a quartz Seiko Mickey watch that was one of a pair of Seiko Mickeys gifted to my wife and me when we married in 86.
I like Seiko divers. Especially old ones. But I never saw a Grand Seiko that appealed to me. GS just makes me think of more money/less charisma. I must be missing something.
Currently three Grand Seikos and seven Seikos in the collection.
GS SBGA493, Seiko SUP880, and vintage Seiko Momotaro kimono pocket watch here...

I dont own a GS but i own a SLA051 High end Willard with Zaratsu polishing and a high end 8L35 caliber and i love it

A . . . But I have owned Seikos in the past (a glacier blue alpinist) and I’m not opposed to adding one (I have always been intrigued by the Astron line). And part of me wants some version of that crazy Alien movie watch.

😄 I don't try hard - I just see them! The hard part is not to spend so much money on Seikos. I like them a lot.☺
