A third Seiko Bell-Matic in three days with another 1968. I positioned the black ramp style alarm indicator under the 6 o'clock marker. The crystal is trashed after 56 years but the alarm still rings loudly like home phones from that era. I'm hoping this will be the first crystal replacement I've done on my own. I'm waiting for a Bergeon caseback removal tool and a new crystal to arrive and frankly I am a little anxious. Successfully swapping out a battery, sizing bracelets and polishing crystals has been the previous extent of my watchmaking skills. My eyesight is better suited for car parts but gonna give it a go. Sure, having the crystal professionally replaced would be cheaper than buying the Bergeon tool but we all know how this hobby doesn't always make sense. Wishing all a Righteous Ringtone Tuesday!
