Ha ha no reason only noticed it after I took the picture, will leave it on till it falls off

i would not advise leaving it on—this will just collect dirt around the edges and prematurely scratch the case in contact with the debris, hence negating the concept of protecting it to begin with. It’s really just there for shipping and handling.
